This Memorial Day, we pause together in remembrance.

 We honor the men and women who gave everything in service to our nation those whose sacrifice allows us the freedoms we live with every day. Memorial Day is more than a long weekend at the cabin or the start of summer grilling. It is a reminder that freedom we have has always come at a cost carried by the brave Servicemembers and their families who have sacrificed so much.

At EMS US, Memorial Day also reminds us why connection matters.

For many servicemembers and their families, transition can feel scary, stressful of the unknown. The structure, purpose, and community built through military service can suddenly feel distant as it sets in. That’s why the relationships formed through EMS US can be so important. Mentorship is not just about careers or networking it is about people standing beside one another during a life changing event.

To our mentors: thank you for continuing to give your time, wisdom, and heart to those who have served. Your willingness to listen, encourage, and walk alongside our service members creates an impact far beyond what you may ever fully see. I speak to this first hand getting to know each of you. Many of you have shared that this experience has impacted you as much as those you mentor, and that speaks a lot to who each of you really are.

To our servicemembers and your spouses: thank you for your service, your sacrifice, and your willingness to allow EMS US into your journey. We understand that Transition can feel like weakness, but its not. Asking questions, seeking guidance, and building relationships is part of growth. Your stories, resilience, and leadership that you share with us continues to be an inspiration to all of us.

Memorial Day reminds us that service does not end when the uniform comes off. It lives on through how we support one another, how we lead, and how we build on the strength you bring from your service.

As you spend time with family and friends this weekend, please take a moment to remember those who never made it home and the families impacted and commit ourselves to living lives worthy of their sacrifice.
